Since 2002, Deb McWethy of the Peterborough Folk Music Society board of directors hosts concerts in the comfort of her living room in her Chesham home. Typically performers are up-and-coming artists who later appear in larger venues in the region, including Peterborough Folk Music Society concerts at Peterborough Players – and nationally, although well-known musicians have performed here as well. Deb’s House Concerts has presented, alphabetically, performances by Slaid Cleaves, Rachael Davis, Antje Duvekot, Ben Demerath, Stacy Earle & Mark Stuart, Cliff Eberhardt, Mark Erelli, Gandalf Murphy and The Slambovian Circus of Dreams, Tracy Grammer with Jim Henry, The Hunger Mountain Boys, Lori McKenna, Alastair Moock, Mustard’s Retreat, Jory Nash, Northern Lights, Off The Cuff, Kerri Powers, Darryl Purpose, Red Molly, Garnet Rogers, Les Sampou, Bill Staines, We’re About 9, Brooks Williams and The WIYOS.
Deb’s Chesham House Concerts has been selected by the readers of New Hampshire Magazine as “Best of NH 2013” for House Concerts. Shows are preceeded by a pot-luck dinner. Advanced reservations are required; the shows typically sell out.
